Hello, I'm hannah

your next Photographer:)

Hi, I’m Hannah Waters! I’m passionate about photography and capturing the kind of moments that people want to hold onto forever. My style is true-to-color with deep, romantic tones that bring out genuine emotion and connection. I truly love love, in all its forms, and my goal is to make every person I photograph feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident in their own skin. I welcome and celebrate all, and I’m here to help capture your story—whether that’s professional portraits, senior photos, engagements, or your wedding day.

my background

I'm a communications student at BYU-Idaho with an emphasis in Digital and Social Media. I have an eye for detail as well as design principles like contrast, balance, and symmetry. I have experience in various social media positions: Student Leadership social media coordinator, Concurrent Enrollment communication specialist, Campus events social media coordinator, social media and event coordinator for The Rexburg Chamber of Commerce, and Promotions Director for Campus Events. I recently took a photography class and decided to pursue photography as a hobby and now as a side business! I'm so excited to continue growing and expanding my skills.

fun facts

I love anything artsy: painting, pottery, make up, cooking, crafting, etc! My favorite food is lasagna or sushi. I come from a family of 5 with 3 older sisters, one of which is my twin, and a younger brother. My family also has 3 little maltipoo dogs! I love going fishing, playing magic, and watching movies. My fashion style is a mix of business casual, grandma core, and Adam Sandler.

My approach

My approach is all about creating an experience that feels personal, collaborative, and fun. I love working with my clients to build a mood board beforehand so we can really lock in the vibe and vision for the session. I always encourage bringing meaningful props, like flowers, photos, or anything sentimental, because those little details help tell your story in a more authentic way. During the shoot, I like to walk you through what I’m doing with lighting and positioning so you feel confident, involved, and at ease. I’m probably going to crack a few jokes or say something unexpected to get those real laughs and genuine smiles, too. A big part of my focus has been learning how to pose people in ways that feel natural and flattering for every body type, highlighting not just how you look, but who you are—your personality, your connection, and the love you carry.
